Rwanda is a home to mountain gorillas in Africa, found in Volcanoes National Park, also known as Parc Nationa des Volcans. Gorillas and Golden monkey tracking are the major tour activities in this park. Rwanda also inhabits 13 primates in Nyungwe forest. This is regarded to be one of the highest in Africa. They include Chimpanzees, large troops of Colobus Monkeys, Blue monkeys, Red Tailed and vervets, L’hotest’s Monkeys and many others.
Mountain Gorillas are conceivably the World's most intriguing endangered ape, said to be approximately 700 of these animals left.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes national Park in Ruhengeri, home to about 360 endangered mountain gorillas.
Day 2: Embark on the gorilla tracking, which may take 2-7 hours depending on the movement of the apes. In the evening, you may go for a cultural walk or nature walk.
Day 3: Either hike up to Dian Fossey grave, where an American primatologist was buried. Or go for golden monkey tracking in the forest.
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Day 2: City Tour including the Gisozi genocide museum and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
D ay 3: Gorilla Trekking
Day 4: Dian Fossey Hiking /Golden Monkey Tracking and transfer to Lake Kivu to enjoy a breath-taking boat ride to the coffee island and witness the sights and sounds of the hot springs
Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest National park
Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking in the lush Nyungwe tropical rain forest. In the afternoon you may go for a canopy walk or colobus monkey tracking
Day 7: Transfer back to Kigali
